Description
Established in 2016 the appellation of Touraine Chenonceaux is named after the famous Chateau de Chenonceau which spans the river Cher. Domaine la Bruyere’s 20ha are located on the secondary valleys of Loire-et-Cher, on clay-limestone soils with a layer of flint. Vines are cultivated following the principles of sustainable agriculture. Made from 100% Sauvignon Blanc . The final wine rests on lees for six months before bottling.
With its clear robe of golden hues, fresh and round on the palate. This white wine reveals aromas of citrus with notes of white flowers.
Chilled this wine will work well with fish and seafood (including sushi) or goats cheese. Or depart from traditional Sauvignon pairings and try with chicken tagine or an Indian curry.

Absolutely lovely, mint, elderflower and blossom on the nose, no gooseberry for me !
On the palate, mint, elderflower cordial, a hint of lemon and here here gooseberry kicks in.
Delicious acidity, just right, mouth watering with a decent slightly yeasty finish,
Complex and a definite alternative for lovers of New Zealand sauvignon blancs.
