Vierkoppen Cabernet Sauvignon, The Basket Case 75cl

Description

The Vierkoppen Cabernet Sauvignon is a smooth and elegant wine from a small family producer. Packed full of big flavours too, not for the faint hearted.Forward blackcurrant nose with integrated spice and subtle oak. Mid-weight, fused red and black summer fruits with a touch of cassis. Good purity and a long finish.

Owned by Daphne and David Briscoe since 2008. Vierkoppen wines are produced in very small quantities using traditional methods of production at the winery in Klaasvoogds.

The grapes are grown on the farm and are bunch selected, basket pressed, open fermented and barrel age. The farm currently has blocks of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Syrah grapes.
