Beronia

Beronia Gran Reserva 2016

£28.00

La Rioja, a region steeped in history and influenced by the free-flowing river Ebro and striking Cantabrian mountains. The tiny village of Ollauri lies within the decorated sub-region of Rioja Alta and was chosen almost 50 years ago to be the home of Bodegas Beronia.

Founded in 1973 by friends with a passion for fine food and the shared desire to produce wines worthy of pairing with their culinary creations, Beronia set out to create the perfect blend between tradition and innovation. The Beronia portfolio celebrates the long-standing traditions of the Rioja region, while paving way for a sustainable future.

The new Rioja winery is something of a sustainable architecture masterpiece, with every aspect of the design, building materials and day-to-day functions ensuring the lightest possible footprint is left on its beautiful surroundings.

From the unique ‘Beronia style’ blends, to the rarer single variety wines, the Beronia portfolio encompasses a wide range of elegantly crafted wines to suit all price points and palates.

Made from Beronia's prized, old vine grapes, this Gran Reserva develops depth and complexity after spending more than two years aging in French oak barrels, followed by a further three years careful resting in bottle before release.
