Bokisch Vineyards Tempranillo 75cl

£30.00

For over 24 years, Markus and Liz Bokisch have been at the forefront of the Tempranillo movement in the New World. Their dedication culminated in bringing esteemed Tempranillo cuttings to California in 1999, a decision that has since shaped the state's viticultural landscape. This Temrpanillo stands as the reflection of Bokisch's leadership and dedication in California's Tempranillo past, present and future scenery.

Tempranillo is often referred to as the “Cabernet” of Spain due to its widespread planting and its noble status as the backbone of Spanish reds. It is fondly known by many names such as Ull de Llebre “Eye of the Hare”, Cencibel, Valdepenas and Tinta del Pais.  It has thick and tannic skins that add a complexity of aromas and colour to the finished wine.

Layered and luxurious, this Tempranillo spent over two years in barrel and two more in bottle, revealing velvety tannins, ripe cherry, leather, and spice. A bold, mature red with depth, elegance, and a finish that lingers beautifully.
