Chianti Classico DOCG is one of the best known wines in the world and is named after the land from which it comes. Its production is regulated by strict standards that protect and guarantee its quality. Chianti Classico is in fact the oldest area of Chianti.
Founded in 1903, Famiglia Castellani, based in Pontedera near Pisa, have been producing wine for over 120 years. A historic family business, Castellani are known for producing some of the finest classic wines in the Tuscany Region.
Over the years the family have invested in research and new technologies to better understand the soil types and microclimates that enhance their 300 ha vineyards.
Piergiorgio Castellani is the 4th generation owner and CEO of Famiglia Castellani, he oversees the 6 Castellani-owned estates: Tenuta Di Montefoscoli, Tenuta Di Campomaggio. Poggio Al Casone, Tenuta Di Ceppaiano, Tenuta Di Santa Lucia and Tenuta Di Burchino.

earthy and with woody notes.
