Crozes Hermitage Petite Ruche Chapoutier 75cl

Syrah grown in vineyards planted on soils with high alluvial deposits and shingle is used to make this well-rounded, blackcurrant and raspberry scented wine. Vinified in cement vats, the wine is afforded an extended maceration after fermentation is complete; a daily pumping over is also carried out. The wine is aged for about nine months in tanks before bottling the following autumn to preserve the maximum fruit expression. An intense purple-red, the palate is fresh with plenty of ripe fruit and finesse on the finish.
