Pesquera Crianza Ribera Del Duero

Pesquera Crianza is a classic red wine from the D.O Ribera del Duero region and is produced by Tinto Pesquera, a winery that belongs the Familia Fern‡ndez Rivera group.

The area is home to a mediterranean climate with continental influences, characterised by dry summers and long harsh winters. The temperatures vary noticeably from season to season

This wine is made using only Tempranillo (100%) grapes than are grown on vineyards which span over 200 hectares on soils composed of sands, gravels and contain limestone and clay.

As for production, after passing a selection table, the grapes are destemmed. They then undego a traditional vinification process. Maceration takes place with the skinds still on, followed by fermentation at a controlled temperature with lasts for 2 to 3 weeks.

Finally, Pesquera Crianza ages for 18 months in French and American oak barrels, followed by 6 months in the bottle.
