The grapes for this wine have been harvested from Langvlei and Leeuwenkuil vineyards on the Agter Paarl/ Swartland border. Pinotage was harvested over a two week period starting late Jan. Most of the grapes were destalked and fermented in tanks with various staves. Malolactic and maturation was completed on staves. Approximately 15% of the wine was fermented in small open fermenters and hand punched before being pressed off prior to full dryness into small French and American oak barrels.
