Vila Tinta Odesa Black
Vinhol Oksamitnoe (Villa Tinta) is a family estate and winery that was founded in 1998 in the village of Oksamitne, located in the Bolgradsky district, which is near Odesa on the Black Sea. As of 2022, Villa Tinta owns 550 hectares of vineyards. The vineyards sit in their own microclimate and are ideal for the ‘Ukrainian” grapes, Odesa Black and Sukholimansky, which account for a majority of their plantings.
100% Odesky Cherny (Odesa Black). Odesa Black was born in 1965 on the shores of lake Yalpug. It’s a cross between Cabernet Sauvignon and Alicante Busche, therefore it has bright rich color with a violet tone. The aromas include intense notes of sweet cherry, plum, jam, fresh grass, and pepper. The palate is complex, and velvety, with silky, creamy tones and prunes appearing in the aftertaste.
